Meet Beluga Z imported Zangersheide gelding born in 2008 standing at 16.1 HH.

The sweetest gelding is looking for his next companion to set on new adventures! Beluga is great on the flat and a solid citizen on first, second and some third level movements. Would be great for an amateur seeking a steady eddie to pursue dressage, fancy enought to be competitive at shows, but budget friendly enough to not break the bank and add valuable knowledge to someone looking to learn or have casual rides.

Beluga can do shoulder in, shoulder fore, half pass, side pass, walk pirouettes, canter half pirouettes, counter canter, canter-walk, walk-canter transitions, renvers and travers. (flat video coming soon.)  He is a gentleman for farriers, on the ground, in crossties, washracks. I have taken him out on trails and to local clinics back in Mexico. He hauls well and doesn’t change much at new places (if anything he gets a bit excited but no bucking or naughtyness, just more forward.)

Lead Changes: Beluga does have lead changes, however they are not entirely clean; With more fitness and a proper ride, clean changes are not a problem. Right to left are his easiest changes, left to right, you got to work for it. He is also a master of quick simple changes and landing on the correct lead while on jumping course.

Why are you selling him?  Beluga was initially purchased as a practice jumping horse and to also help me polish my riding back in 2017. We have moved a portion of our operation from Mexico to Texas and are making room to allow our home-bred andalusian horses into our Texas program, whom are very green and need more miles. Beluga is at a point where he would be a great teacher for a newer amateur on the flat.

Why has he not shown? Beluga was initially imported to America, having cruised in the 1.20’s out in europe. He did show at some local non-rated schooling shows in Arizona in the jumpers (1.10’s) and the hunters. He did cruise in Colorado at a rated show in the hunter ring, but I also cannot find that record. He later on made his way down to Sonora Mexico, where we did not have any shows and he lived a pretty easy, steady life at our ranch since 2017. I did occasionally take him out to clinics when we’d have jumper trainers in town or jump him by myself at home.  During the time I have owned him, he has never had time off due to injuries or soundness related problems.

Up to date on vaccines, dental, negative coggings,  deworming program, recent Pentosan Polysulfate treatment.
