ABOUT US
We are a family-run project dedicated to the breeding of the Purebred Spanish Horse. Hacienda la Cobriza was founded in the beautiful state of Sonora, where the mountains are rich in minerals—especially copper—which inspired our name, meaning "Copper Mountains."

What began as a small hobby has grown into an ambitious breeding program focused on producing Andalusians with excellent minds and athleticism suitable for sport. Over the years, we have carefully imported horses with renowned bloodlines such as Marín García, Ferrero, Plaza de Armas, and Guardiola.
The pedigrees of our horses include some of the most iconic stallions in modern Spanish horse history, such as Armas Vaquero, Mañoso II, Orfebre, Yaco II, Remache XIII, Remendado VII, SF Oleaje, Educado X, and Corinto X, among others.

Our main objective is quality over quantity. Every horse in our program must pass a series of evaluations before being included in our breeding stock. We believe it is essential that both stallions and mares possess correct movement, strong conformation, and a docile temperament.

Our horses have proven their abilities by earning medals at some of the most prestigious competitions in the country. We have achieved top placings at rated shows in both Mexico and the United States, at national and regional levels.

You’ll find our Andalusians and Andalusian crosses successfully competing in eventing, hunter/jumper shows, dressage, and breed shows.
